To assist you in your recruiting efforts, I offer the following:
1) TDR 2014 Online Volunteer Application – The on-line Volunteer Application can be found under the Volunteer Tab at the TDR website (www.turkeydayrun.com). Click on the blue “Volunteer for Event Racemine” button on the left side of the page. Please remind all volunteers to be certain to note the name of your organization in the “Volunteer Groups/Positions” box of the on-line form.
2) A few clarifications related to the ages of volunteers and numbers of volunteers:
· Ages of Volunteers:
o Volunteers under the age of 18 must submit a TDR Volunteer Application complete with the signature of a parent/guardian. Students who sign-up on-line will be required to complete a paper copy of the TDR Volunteer Application and bring it to their respective shift(s) so their parent/guardian's signature will be on file.
o Volunteers under 14 years of age must have a parent/guardian on site with them at all times during their service hours.
· Numbers of Volunteers:
o As a part of the Charity Connection Terms of Agreement, we ask that each organization provide a minimum of 10 volunteers. Ultimately, we are hoping each of our Charity Connection partners will provide enough volunteers to cover 10 shifts over the course of the three days of the Turkey Day event. Since most volunteers sign-up to work one shift, we encourage groups to recruit 10 volunteers. However, there are groups who have volunteers who sign-up to work multiple shifts. Please note that in the weekly updates I will begin sending in late October, I will provide each organization with the number of shifts that are being covered by individuals who have noted they are representing your respective organization.
