WITHOUT WALLS HISTORY
After 10 years working with Charleston's inner-city, Pastor Gordon Cashwell was
challenged by the Lord to develop a "church without walls", which did not have a building and in which race,
denomination, or economic status did not divide, and where the focus was on people outside the walls of the typical church
building. The answer: a union of churches going into the "highways and byways" and reaching out to economically
challenged neighborhoods to bring physical and spiritual blessings.
MISSION:
Our mission is tear down walls between christians and bring the love of Jesus in Word and deed outside the four walls of the church to the poor and hurting in the Charleston area.
We will demonstrate a Great Commitment to the Great Commission and the Great Commandments.
VISION:
An outreach center for the city of Charleston- bringing churches together to go out to the highways and byways. A multiplying network of “3- B” (Bus, Block and Bible Study) preaching points in the city of Charleston with a ministry in every neighborhood in the city of Charleston.
An Equipping Center for the city of Charleston, having an Urban Bible Training Center to train people as outreach leaders and thrust them outside the walls of the church to “take it to the streets” around the world.
A church balanced around the purposes of HOPE- “Helping Outreach Praise and Edification.” Having buildings that are used 24/ 7 in service to our city used in serving and equipping people.
A multiplying group of service-oriented ministries with a Great Commitment to the Great Commission and the Great Commandments existing to “Wash the Feet of Inner-City Charleston” encouraging churches to work together to win the lost and serve the needy.

Without Walls
Ministry is a non-profit organization, partnering with local churches, humanitarian groups, business and civic organizations to meet
the needs of impoverished families.
The ministry offers physical and spiritual help to individuals and families throughout
the greater Charleston Area by way of becoming a good neighbor by adopting local neighborhood blocks to minister in and by
hosting special outreach events which minister by showing the love of Jesus by feeding, clothing,
sharing the gospel and simply loving those in need.
Without Walls Ministry fosters community outreaches to provide the poor, the hurting, and forgotten a message of hope, food,
free groceries, health screenings, job fairs, haircuts, games and activities for children, and much more. All goods and services—which
are donated and supplied locally, are provided to guests free of charge. This all-volunteer outreach mobilizes area residents
to serve in an urban mission and make a difference in their community. Strong participation by local businesses, churches,
community agencies, and individuals is crucial to the success of outreaches.
Opportunities for ongoing service are made possible by giving those that volunteer a chance to connect with
local residents, making a lasting impression on all who participate.
